Application for membership is open to any not-for profit organisation that supports family carers either directly or indirectly.

The following criteria will be considered by the directors when reviewing applications for membership;

• Are the applicants Mission/Values/Aims/Objectives in keeping with those of Care Alliance Ireland?

• Does the organisation support family carers?                  

• Is the organisation not for profit?

• Has the organisation supplied the following:  Aims and Objectives (or equivalent), Recent independent Accounts, Annual Report?

• Is the applying organisation likely to attract negative attention to itself and or the sector?

Should the applicant not satisfy all the above, (namely Yes to the first 4 questions and No to the 5th) then further documentation /information supplied by the applicant will be taken into consideration by the directors in their review of the application.
